See a chiropractor & get adjusted.
Your horse will thank you.
Welcome, fellow equestrian — you found me.
You’re an equestrian who knows riding isn’t just about lessons, tack upgrades, and your coach yelling “SIT UP!” — it’s about how your body actually shows up in the saddle (even when it has other plans).
You care about your horse, your performance, and doing things properly… which is probably why you’ve noticed things like:
The imbalance.
The tension.
That one side that insists on doing its own thing.
And those moments where your body doesn’t quite match the aids you swear you’re giving.
Deep down, you know there’s a better way to ride — one that feels more connected, more controlled, and a lot less like a negotiation with your own body.
That’s where I come in.
I’m a chiropractor who works with riders, with a focus on the nervous system — because that’s where real change happens. When your system is functioning well, your body communicates better, reacts faster, and moves with more ease.
And yes… your horse notices immediately.
This isn’t just about getting out of pain.
It’s about riding with more awareness, balance, timing — and less “why is my body doing that?” energy.
If you’ve been looking for someone who understands both horses and how bodies actually work…
You’re in the right place.
MOBILE
I bring mobile chiropractic care to local barns in and around Edmonton, because riders already live at the barn anyway. Check the booking site for current locations, or reach out to get your barn on the list.
Brick & Mortar
When I’m not doing barn calls, appointments are available at Wildseed Chiropractic in Edmonton—same care, less hay. 780-540-5250
I’m Dr. Jamie Laing, and my journey to becoming a chiropractor began the moment I found out horses could get adjusted—because if the horses were doing it, I obviously needed to be involved. At 14, I started working as a Chiropractic Assistant with dreams of becoming both a chiropractor and an animal chiropractor, all while spending most of my free time at the barn.
Over the years, I fell in love with chiropractic care, the body’s innate intelligence, and the way a well-regulated nervous system supports movement, performance, and longevity—especially for riders who ask their bodies to do a lot (and then do “just one more ride”). Though I didn’t end up adjusting the horses themselves, I found something even better: caring for the equestrians who ride them, train them, and somehow still function on barn time and caffeine.
Today, I get to combine my passion for chiropractic with my lifelong love of horseback riding, helping riders feel more balanced, connected, and capable—both in and out of the saddle.

While I’ll never stop geeking out over helping equestrians feel their best in the saddle, I truly love taking care of everyone—yes, even those of you who think barn dirt is “optional.” Every body (and every nervous system) is unique, which means no cookie-cutter adjustments here—what works for one person might not work for the next. My goal is simple: give each body the care it actually needs, help your nervous system run like a well-trained horse, and remind you that feeling good isn’t just a luxury—it’s essential. Through nervous system–focused chiropractic care, I hope to spread a little more balance, mobility, and overall well-being…with a few laughs along the way

What makes your chiropractic care different?
I focus on the nervous system — not just muscles or joints. That means we’re working on how your brain and body communicate, which directly impacts your balance, coordination, reaction time, and overall feel in the saddle. This isn’t a quick “crack and go” approach — it’s about creating lasting changes in how your body functions.
Do I have to be in pain to come see you?
Not at all. Many of the riders I work with aren’t in pain — they just know something feels off. Maybe it’s stiffness, imbalance, or not feeling as effective in the saddle as they’d like. This work is just as much about performance and connection as it is about pain.
How does this help my riding?
When your nervous system is functioning well, your body can:
Stay balanced and centered
Give clearer, more consistent aids
React faster and more accurately
Move with less tension
Your horse feels every bit of that. Better input from you = better output from them.
Do you adjust horses as well?
I get this question a lot — and no, I don’t.
I focus entirely on the rider.
Because here’s the thing: your horse has already been working very hard to compensate for you.
When your body becomes more balanced, clear, and consistent, your horse doesn’t have to work nearly as hard — and that’s often where the biggest changes happen.
Do you understand riding and horses?
Yes — and that matters. I work specifically with riders, so I understand the physical and mental demands of the sport (and how frustrating it is when your body isn’t cooperating).
What can I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit is all about understanding you. We’ll go through your history, your riding goals, and what you’ve been experiencing in your body. Then we’ll assess how your nervous system is functioning and create a plan tailored to you.
Will I be adjusted on my first visit?
In most cases, yes — if it’s appropriate for you. Everything is done with intention and based on what your body actually needs.
How many visits will I need?
That depends on your goals. Some riders come in for short-term support, but most choose a care plan so we can create real, lasting changes. Think of it like training — consistency matters.
I’ve tried chiropractic before and it didn’t help — how is this different?
That’s more common than you’d think. This approach is very specific and nervous system-focused, which can feel very different from traditional chiropractic care. We’re not just chasing symptoms — we’re addressing the underlying patterns.
Is it safe?
Yes. Care is always tailored to you, your body, and your comfort level.
How do I get started?
Simple.
Book your first visit and we’ll take it from there.
